Incoming Message Classifier Rules

Incoming message classifier rules are rules that look at incoming messages and comparing against at the properties of those messages:

• Source ("E-mail", "Kiosk", "VSys Live", "SMS/text message"),
• Whether not it matches an existing, known person,
• Message subject, Message header, and Message body (these last three use regular expressions).

Based on these filters, it can then

• Change the message type,
• Add and/or remove message tags, and
• Add comments.

An incoming message starts off with the first rule in the list (order matters!), and stops when it finds the first rule that matches the message. VSys then applies any actions in that rule. If Apply other, later rules if this one matches is checked then VSys continues on and applies any other rules that may match the message, otherwise it stops and moves on to the next message.

Incoming message classifier rules are not part of the standard VSys Live implementation. In general, installing and configuring this option comes with an additional fee. See Advanced features for information.
